Oracle Database Manager
Fulltime Position

Experience:
5 years minimum experience as a DBA; 5 years supervisory experience.

Responsibilities:
Manage 4-person database administration group. Give technical direction and assist group in learning best database practices. Assign tasks and set priorities. Interface with customers and internal stakeholders at all levels. Plan process improvements and oversee new change control and documentation processes. Devise standards; communicate and enforce them. Provide help in fine-tuning database, optimizing systems and redesigning legacy environments. Group provides 24x7 production support as well as development support and architecture planning

Requirements:
Oracle 8/9/10/11. Strong experience at the DBA level before entering management. Computer Science bachelor's degree minimum. Vendor certification also a plus.

Desired:
Oracle OCP Certification, experience with C/C#, Ingres, Oracle ERP applications (version 11i) and MS SQL Server. Experience with version upgrades.

Environment:
Many databases, different configurations and multiple servers, branch locations and customers. Quick-to-live environment, agile development techniques. The utmost flexibility and adaptability is essential. Frequent interaction with developers and non-technical business users. Fast pace but positive, high-morale team.

Management duties are hands-on and require attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills.
