A Database Programmer/Analyst job in Detroit, MI is available. This is an enterprise role based on the design, development, documentation, and maintenance of SQL and Access databases focused primarily on Law Firm data. This role will collaborate with business and other IT professionals to enable the success of business-critical database development, data gathering, loading and extracting, data workflows, and interfacing between systems. This is a DIRECT HIRE role. Must be able to work in the US FOR ANY EMPLOYER now and in the future.
Create, modify, and maintain existing Access and SQL databases Develop and execute SQL queries based on data needs of business stakeholders Develop and maintain integrations between various enterprise database systems Work with business units to understand data collection, storage, and reporting needs for new systems Create user documentation for new database systems; user training and support as needed Analyze existing business processes to come up with opportunities for improvement and enhancement; create process documentation and workflow documents
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred. Expert level of experience with database structures and functionality (SQL Server, MS Access, InfoPath, etc.) Expert level of experience with database querying and programming (T-SQL, Access VBA, etc.) Ability to create dynamic reports based on multiple data sources Familiar with data file formats such as CSV, XML, tab delimited, fixed width fields, etc.
