Comfortable administrating applications and software in Linux (preferably Red Hat) command-line environment
Able to use Linux commands and tools to troubleshoot issues, parse and evaluate log files
Ability to write and revise bash/ksh scripts
Understanding of managed servers/domains and NodeManager, connection pools, JMS modules
Installation, upgrades and patching via oPatch
Deployments and configuration via WebLogic console
Understanding of the java language - common class files, command line configuration options, ability to interpret Java errors in log files
Experience with Oracle Fusion Middleware (11g/12c) administration
Experience working with APEX, Discover, OHS, Oracle Forms and Reports
Experience migrating applications from OFM 11g to 12c
Experience migrating PLSQL/DADS applications to ORDS
Experience working with OFM in a load-balanced/distributed/clustered environment
Bachelor's degree in a specialized area or experience in lieu of degree
Minimum of 8 years' experience
Three (3) years of experience in the last five (5) years as a systems administrator installing, configuring, upgrading, patching, and troubleshooting Oracle WebLogic Application Server and Tomcat.
Two (2) years of experience in the last five (5) years as a systems administrator installing, configuring, and maintaining Oracle SOA, Oracle Identity Management, Oracle Application Express, Oracle Business Intelligence, Oracle Web Tier, and Oracle ERP.
Three (3) years of experience in the last five (5) years working as an Oracle Middleware server administrator in Linux or Unix and Windows server environments and programming Linux and Windows scripts to automate application server maintenance tasks.
Two (2) years of experience in the last five (5) years working with Oracle Support to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
Three (3) years of experience in technical documentation and customer service.
1-year experience with Oracle WebLogic Middleware
Experience with IBM DataPower XML Gateway
Experience with IBM z-series or later processors running the z/OS operating system in a Parallel Systems Complex (Sysplex) environment to support 24x7x365 availability
Experience with core z/OS functions, mainframe network products, and related subsystems
Apache HTTP server and/or Apache Tomcat administration experience
Familiarity with Splunk log management tools
Experience developing java applications; ability to review evaluate java code for security vulnerabilities and good coding practices
Experience with IBM MQ is messaging middleware
Skilled in incident, problem and change management
Experience within Middleware, Java or related technology
Experience with Open Source Application Hosting Platforms (e.g. JBoss, Tomcat or Apache)
Knowledge of IBM Application Hosting Platforms (WebSphere AS)
Unix Shell Scripting skills
