PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES / OBJECTIVES:The Business Intelligence and Analytics Officer:* Is responsible for the day to day administration of the business intelligence applications. Monitors the performance of the data load processes and analyses. * Implements BI Interactive Dashboards on top of the data warehouse.* Works with the Bank's senior management to align the content and structure of both the data warehouse and the PBCS database to meet the Bank's evolving information requirements.* Is the subject matter expert for OBIEE, BI Interactive Dashboards, SmartView, PBCS, and Application Express.* Provides thought leadership and is an information consultant for the Accounting Division regarding the business intelligence applications, and the Bank's data and processing systems, assisting users with technical issues and providing guidance on the proper use of the BI/DW tools* Monitors projects and systems implemented by the bank to determine data requirements for the data warehouse. * Provides the data warehouse architecture and designs and develops the extract, transformation and load processes and related mappings.* Coordinates the deployment from the development environment to production for the business intelligence applications including code turn over. Structures complex reports and analyses and advises Accounting and Marketing personnel as they develop reports and analyses.* Ensures that the application security and operational controls protect the data and access to it, limiting users read access to only those data elements they need, restricting update capability to properly trained users, and closely reviewing users' access to the particularly sensitive data. * Works with the database administrators to manage system patches and upgrades.QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum Qualifications:* A bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, finance or accounting with six or more years of relevant information technology and financial analysis experience are required. * Experience with information management, business intelligence or data warehousing in the banking industry with focus on operations, process and regulatory needs. * Understanding of relational and multidimensional databases.* Deductive reasoning and mathematical dexterity are a must. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office ProductsPreferred Qualifications:* Master's degree and 10 or more years of experience in finance. * Understanding of banking processes, operations and regulatory reporting needs.* Strong experience in Business Intelligence and Analytics architecture, data model design, programming skills and analytical software. * Should be a hands-on self-starter with strong verbal and written communication skills, good problem solving skills, project management skills, the ability to interact positively with Senior Management and to communicate with both technical and non-technical teams, and experience in managing a team. * Experience in financial analysis, project management, and internal controls. * Experience with Oracle Database, Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) and PBCS.* Agility in shifting focus between supervising the data warehouse analysts, consulting with users, and being an individual contributor. The ability to make sense of complex data, understand business drivers and ask thoughtful, probing questions.* The ability to coach and supervise team members on business issues, identify areas for individual and team performance improvements, present improvement recommendations to management and implement changes.
