R&M MATERIALS HANDLING (RMI)\rPOSITION SUMMARY\rPOSITION TITLE: Product Administrator\rREPORTS TO: Associate Director – Customer Service & Marketing\rPRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:\r\r Develop, maintain and support product technical documentation including but not limited to: technical guides, manuals, drawings, technical bulletins, price books (including models, descriptions, specifications, part numbers, configurations, etc.)\r Coordinate with marketing the production/web posting/distribution of these technical documents. In addition, provide technical input for and review of all marketing materials to verify technical features, dimensions, industry jargon, etc.\r Maintain and improve material master data. This includes daily material updates, communicating with factory material representatives, proactively following up on material requests, and identifying trends for mass corrections to proactively improve master data quality.\r Be the product champion: collect all product and technical information, become the expert resource on all product features and initiate/coordinate all product launches.\r Respond to inquiries of sales force and distributors relating to published data, product specifications, product applications and other technical data. Provide feedback regarding product specifications, published documents and other technical materials to appropriate departments. Investigate and keep informed of competitor technical specifications, product data, websites, industry standards and developments, etc. Continually develop technical knowledge of product offering.\r Achieve industry leading customer service.\r Provide professional written and verbal communications and timely processing of quotations and orders. Maintain a high degree of clerical accuracy. Initiate efforts to create an effective team and earn the trust and respect from both customers and coworkers. Seek timely solutions to resolve unexpected problems and make significant contribution with little direction. Maintain a timely and thorough responsiveness to inquiries including but not limited to phone calls, voice mails, faxes and e-mails.\r Other duties as assigned by supervisor.\r\rEDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Data Management or equivalent required.\rEXPERIENCE: A minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in data management or application engineering. Must have well-developed PC skills, including in-depth knowledge of Excel and Access, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to address multiple issues at the same time and work well under pressure.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Access and Excel required.
