Senior Database Administrator','1719853','','Dealertrack','!*!Job Summary:The Senior Database Administrator is responsible for installing, configuring, upgrading, administering, monitoring and maintaining databases to keep them in a usable state, ensuring they are available and accurate at all required times. The Database Administrator is involved in database and repository design, managing the availability of databases to agreed operating levels, installing database software, and providing database support. Key ResponsibilitiesVision and DirectionDevelops, documents, communicates, and enforces database standards, policies, and procedures for standardizing database assets.Design and BuildsDesigns and builds new database solutions based on requirements from project initiatives.Implements data models and database designs into physical databases.Availability & Operating Level ManagementPerforms root cause analysis, resolves problems and recommends solutions.Maintains and performs preventative database maintenance to provide availability, capacity, integrity, and security against operating level agreements.Establishes guidelines and standards for capacity management review and establishes standards for database operations.Monitors and plans capacity of all databases to plan for future growth.Analyzes and optimizes database performance.
