SQL Server Database Administrator
Responsible for administration and technical support of multiple database environments; including overseeing installation, upgrades, administration, tuning and development. High reliability and performance is accomplished through architecture and application development to achieve a state of the art environment meeting current and future business needs.
SQL Server skills are required in all facets of the suite including, but not limited to, the database engine, integration services, reporting services, analysis services, SQL agent and external system integrations. Requires assessment of database performance for ongoing adjustment to indexes, schema, table partitioning, backup and restore operations and replication.
Required Experience
BS Degree in one of the following: Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology or related field
5 years IT experience with strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices
3-5 years Microsoft SQL Server experience
Experience with relational databases in server-client and web environments
Knowledge of reporting tools such as SSRS and Crystal Reports
Exceptional interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
Ability to document technical and business requirements
Self-motivated working ability with minimal supervision or direction
Experience working in a team environment
