Position Summary:
The Senior Cognos Report Developer designs, develops and supports the Data Warehouse Business Intelligence reports and cubes using the Cognos BI software. This position is responsible for analyst activities including process analysis and development of functional specifications.
Position Description (Essential Duties & Responsibilities):
*Designs, develops and supports Business Intelligence reporting and analytics using Cognos BI software
*Partners with key business area experts to develop report requirements and enhancements.
*Looks for opportunities to make improvements
*Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
Basic
(Required)
*Undergraduate degree in Information Systems/Computer Science or Finance
*10 years experience in a similar role
*5 years experience with Cognos BI reporting software and development experience with Cognos 8.4.1 reporting tools including Report Studio, Analysis Studio, and Powerplay Studio.
*Experience with Oracle databases with strong SQL knowledge
*Ability to analyze complex business problems to be solved with DW reporting/analysis solutions
*Ability to define and document functional requirements and program specifications
Preferred
*Experience with Cognos 10
*Business Analyst experience is highly preferred
